Rockwell R1 - Double Edge Safety Razor

I was nervous about switching from cartridge razors, but the R1's fixed head made the learning curve way shorter than I expected. The weight and balance feel solid in hand, and I’ve gotten a close shave with zero nicks every time so far.

I’ve been using it for about three weeks now and the R1 head’s mild angle still feels forgiving on my neck, but it cuts close enough that I only need two passes. For the price, it’s honestly the smoothest intro to double-edge shaving I’ve tried.

The aggressive angle on the head makes it easy to find the right blade exposure, and the knurled handle gives a secure grip even with soapy hands. I’m honestly surprised how effortless my first DE shave was with this one.
